First topic message reminder :

Since this is a theme design forum, it'd be a good idea to open a topic like this for discussion. So, if you have any feedback or suggestions on the theme that's currently being developed here feel free to let me know below. Wink

Well.. it's open source so technically anyone can grab the source code at anytime. All you need to do is install this file in an HTML page that has your forum's header and footer. Razz

It's actually ready for testing, but I'm gonna write up a wiki with documentation on it first plus do a few extra checks before I begin the actual testing. That way everyone has documentation that they can read, and can give feedback on it as well, along with the theme of course. Wink

Rhino wrote:Just a little little thing to mention. The height of the sc-editor button row. Please adding some top and bottom padding to it, the area is kinda small to scroll. A bit more place for our finger would be nice lol.

Keep up the good work Very Happy
Oooh I didn't think about that ! Phones don't display a big scroll bar like desktop browsers do, right ? I added a 12px padding ( 6 top, 6 bottom ) let me know if that makes it easier. While we're on the subject, is the navbar easy to scroll too ?

Thanks again. Smile

Well dam why didn't you tell me this so much easier I could of been playing around with it. drunken  Anyways got it installed the installer work as expected, so simple.   Well let. Me start testing it. BTW on another note: just picked up a 2009 Xserve to run asa file server, Minecraft Server for the kids and what ever else can throw at it, Paid $100 for it, 12gb {will be maxed out soon} 3 drive 2X160gb and I 500gb all will be upgraded soon too, might just stick some 2 tb in the drive bays.

Yes now it's easier to scroll. Navbar can have some padding too I think, my phone's are big (5.5"). Someone with a small phone will find it tough to scroll.

Also the login form on index looks a bit weird from mobile. The spacing and margin needs some tweaks.

Hmm.. I dunno, it never crossed my mind... Laughing Perfect ^^ tbh I surprised myself with the installer.. I thought it would be super hard, but I guess I got a knack for making automated-bot-like scripts. pirat

daaamn, sounds like you're going all out Shocked

I'll consider doing that for the next update. I'll take a look at the login too. Wink

So far I've already patched in the view last post links, which leaves 8 other sub-updates to work on + any other new reports that come in before I finish. tongue

Wow seems your theme has become very popular, Only problem I have now is how to make t different from the others? You really did a great job on this.

SO @Ange Tuteur what's in the future? Different variations of this theme? Maybe some different theme?
Looking forward to the future.

Yep, it's expected since it's free and modern looking. Cool If you want to get your hands dirty, you can replace the current minified stylesheet with the unminified version which is perfect for editing the theme and personalizing it. Wink

I plan on adding a theme switcher in the control panel in next release that will allow you to switch between two styles for the main theme :
- Light
- Dark
and maybe more in the future. What a Face

This will of course replace all contents in the stylesheet and maybe ALL.JS ( because of the theme switcher ), so I'm going to add a warning in the prompt.

Wow you ain't kidding that CSS is long. I like the light theme, but a dark Edge theme intrigues me, how would that look?

I know, it's like 2000 lines ! Shocked

The dark theme will look similar to this draft :
http://fmdesign.forumotion.com/t702-forumactif-edge-installation-questions#13945

I haven't actually gotten started on the dark theme yet, but I plan to during this week. I *might* need to change some colors in the theme switcher though, not sure yet until I actually work on it. Wink

Yep, gonna have to wait until the final product is ready to decide. :S

The next release will be the production version, because the software has proved that it's stable enough. Plus I've fixed most of the major problems like those 503 errors in the install / updates. ( I think that's what you got when you updated awhile back )

This is my agenda currently :

1. Clean up bugs ( DONE, but can be undone through reports What a Face )
2. Work on translation support for the control panel interface ( e.g. buttons, warnings, etc.. )
3. Work on a theme switcher for light and dark themes
4. R&D for misc suggestions
5. Push v1.0.0 update to everyone Cool

While I was thinking about #3, I thought it'd be neat to implement a color panel similar to the one in the AP to change the theme colors. That might be even better, but it'll probably be in a later release.
