I just placed the variable in a container and used some CSS to change things, but to have the group color as the background I needed to use JavaScript. You can see without JS by opening the devtools ( CTRL+SHIFT+C ), then press F1 and tag disable JS, if you're on Chrome or any webkit browser. You'll see it in all its noscripty glory
The script for formatting the group background color is in homepage.js under the alias "wio_formatGroups"
PS
I'm slowly starting to work on responsiveness. Just throwing around ideas atm though
Starting small and making my way up. lol

Ange Tuteur wrote:I was originally going to use white, but I choose black ( or #333 ) because it has better contrast on the light buttons. This is what it'd look like with white text on the current buttons :
It doesn't contrast too well.
Do you think it's too dark ? If so, I could bring it down to somewhere in the middle, like #444 or #555. Those are a bit lighter, but not too light. Here's #555 which I think might be the best jump :
Lemme know what you think.
P.S.
Yes, I think the CB is perfect now. I just need to fix up the little context menus and it'll truly be perfect.
Looks good! i showed the images of theme to a few of my helpers and they like the big bold look for the forum, so i was out voted on a different theme that i had in mind to use. Now I have a question, when you release the theme it is going to look exactly like this correct? I was asked and did not know how to answer.
Yes, the theme will be "What you see is what you get", although it's subject to change while it's still in development.BlackScorpion wrote:Looks good! i showed the images of theme to a few of my helpers and they like the big bold look for the forum, so i was out voted on a different theme that i had in mind to use. The designs are great, but the color of each post is very hard to read.
Thanks, however I'm not sure I comprehend the latter portion of your message. Could you perhaps illustrate to me how you're seeing the posts, because they appear to be easy to read from my viewpoint. This is how they look for me :Wilson K. wrote:The designs are great, but the color of each post is very hard to read.
If it doesn't look like the above to you, any information you can provide might help. ( e.g. browser, device )
Haha perhaps, I've used #666 as the font color on some of my older light themes which is softer, so it'll probably take some getting used to this font color which is slightly darker.
Thanks for reporting that, I'll note that down in my todo list. Gotta make that footer sticky !

I'll try to! I'm excited for this to be implemented on FM Design
Sooon ^^
I'm working on the responsiveness at the moment, so that's going to take a little while. I changed up the topics a bit for phones, so they take up less space horizontally.
Alot more of the forum needs work though, like the posting area, some of the sceditor dropdowns..

I don't think it's very hard to read, but if that is a problem for you , you can add the Forum Font Size Selector to the forum to make the text bigger and easier to read.
@Ange Tuteur I really like the numbering on the side of the post, this will come in handy on my forum , when i need to refer to a certain post.
Now git r done captain,
